PROF. CÉSAR VISERAS

Professor César Viseras is a Full Professor at the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Granada and is a scholar of high international scientific standing, with consolidated experience in the fields of pharmaceutical technology, biomaterials, and advanced drug delivery systems, with particular reference to the use of biopolymers and clay minerals for pharmaceutical and biomedical applications. His research activity, evidenced by a wide scientific production and numerous international collaborations, is fully consistent with the issues developed within the Department, particularly in the fields of innovative biomaterials, nanostructured systems, and biotechnological applications in the medical and pharmaceutical fields. In the 2026/2027 academic year, Prof. Viseras will hold seminars for students of the Study Courses and the Doctoral Course of the Department of Basic and Applied Sciences. Its teaching activity will allow the transfer of advanced knowledge on cutting-edge issues, such as the design, development, and characterization of nanocomposite systems based on biopolymers and clay materials intended for pharmaceutical and biomedical applications. These activities will significantly contribute to the innovation of educational content and the strengthening of the integration between research and advanced training. The presence of Prof. Viseras will, moreover, represent an important opportunity for the consolidation of the international dimension of the Department, for the qualification of the training offer and for the development of strategic scientific collaborations, also with a view to joint participation in national and international research projects.
